Jude Goodier

Jude is a senior teacher and choreographer at Cadman's.  She is IDTA Qualified, and teaches classes in Disco, Jazz, Latin and Ballroom, Show dance and Musical Theatre.


Jude has danced since the age of 6 and and appeared regularly on the original BBC "Come Dancing" from 1981 to 1984 representing the North West and Midlands and West teams.  She has also represented the UK abroad in European and World Latin American Formation Championships.  As a regular competitor and finalist in various UK championships as a couple - finally achieving 16th place in Closed British Championships in 1985.

During the 80s and 90s Jude performed in many local stage productions - starting off as a dancer and singer in the chorus - and then moving to greater heights in principal roles such as Sandy in the "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie", Adelaide in "guys and Dolls", Morgana in "Robin Price of Sherwood", Pitti Sing in "Hot Mikado", Adele in "Shakers" and various principal parts in pantos and plays.


Jude worked as a choreographer in the late 1990s, achieving the following successes:  A selection of music from Copacabana at the Palace Theatre Manchester, Carousel, West Side Story, The Manchester Man and has choreographed many dancing school dance numbers at Robert Bolt Theatre in Sale, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, the Blackpool Opera House and Her Majesty's Theatre London.

Choreographed various fashion shows at Trafford Centre Manchester, Manchester United Conference Rooms, and G-Mex for amongst others, Selfridges, Skill City and Asian Jewel Awards.

Latest projects have been working as a choreographer on the film "Looking for Eric" due to be released in 2009.  Jude is very proud to have been working closely with director Ken Loach and the very famous actor/producer the Eric Cantona! 


Jude has been the winner of two Manchester Musical awards:

  • Best All Round Performer for the role of "Morgana" in Robin Prince of Sherwood - 1998

  • Best Choreographer for West Side Story - 2000
